EDITORIAL – Protest, sure, but anti-vaxxers need to let others shop in peace
An editorial by Mel Rothenburger.
THE ANTI-VAXXERS were at it again this week, descending on the Real Canadian Superstore for what they call a relaxed, maskless shopping experience. RCMP showed up, ticketed 43 of them and arrested five.
So-called Mask Free Mondays have been promoted by a group calling itself Take Action Kamloops.
According to police, their presence in the store hasn’t necessarily been relaxed, as reports had been received of staff and other shoppers being intimidated.

Time to play hardball. Impose a tax on the unvaccinated (as they have done in Quebec). Our health care system is overloaded and our economy is suffering. Such people should pay the extra billions that their ignorance is costing us. This is no longer just dumb. It’s maddening.
Register them, then when thy need public health services related to covid, require cash payment up front. No one should get free medicare from an agency he denounces . Our entire Medicare system is in peril
