Letter – Why don’t fast food restaurants have to follow the same COVID rules?

Can you tell me why places like coffee shops and fast food restaurants do not have to follow the same rules as other places?

I was reciently in Tim Hortons in Sahali, Kamloops and there is no Vacs check, spacing in line, table spacing or sanitising. The seating was full with people sitting back to back and people in line out the door with no spacing at all.

Should the rules for public health not be the same for all places or does COVID-19 not affect these places?
