LETTER – A few guys with pickups needed for Kenna Cartright Park
As you may be aware Kenna’s park is under tremendous pressure/stress.
From residential development continuing to creep in, to other commercial interests, to a multitude of careful and sometimes careless users.
I see garbage, not huge amount but some. I do go out and clean it up occasionally.
Then there are noxious/infestant plants. I hope we can all agree much of the allure of the park is its gorgeous native and much varied vegetation. The battle against knapweed is probably completely lost. But there is still a chance we can keep the Siberian Elms and the Russian Olives out if we make it a priority.
Perhaps you can join me soon on an eradication effort. A few guys for a day with a couple of pickup trucks…we can do it!
PIERRE FILISETTI

Doug Daws was my dad (he has passed away) I know how disappointed he would be to see all the building in the park area. I don’t know if they have taken some of the park over to build. I certainly hope not. Dad was so very proud of Kenna Cartright Park and he hiked up there daily in the years before his passing.
