POLICE – Plenty of roadside prohibitions during Counter Attack

The first two weekends in December of Counter Attack by the Kamloops RCMP Traffic Section has resulted in the following:

rcmppatch213 – 3-Day IRP (Immediate Roadside Prohibitions)

10 – 90-Day IRP (Immediate Roadside Prohibitions)

6 – Drug Seizures

5 – Vehicles with no Insurance

4 – 24-hour Prohibitions for driving while under the influence of alcohol

2 – 24-hour Prohibitions for driving while under the influence of drugs

2 – Unlicenced Drivers

2 – Violation Tickets to drivers who have No Driver’s Licence

2 – Violation Tickets to drivers for Driving Contrary to their Restrictions

1 – Prohibited Driver

1 – Driver’s Licence Suspension Notice

1 – Violation Ticket for Misuse of Plate

1 – Violation Ticket for Excessive Speed

RCMP Officers will be out and looking for impaired drivers for the rest of December. Police advise making a plan before the first round — have a designated driver, plan on taking a taxi, public transportation or using Operation Red Nose.
