ART – Local artist designs clothing for Canada 150 birthday celebrations
Local artist Kristina Benson has been approved by the Department of Canadian Heritage to design and sell her wearable art (yoga leggings and capris) as a part of the official Canada 150 brand in honour of Canada’s 150th birthday.
Standing out from the crowd, Kristina is a designer focused on combining her artwork with comfortable products, which are made in Canada. From eco-fabric yoga leggings and capris to scarves, headbands and beanies, her company launched on Canada Day, 2016.
Benson said reviews of her work have been “exceptional,” and that her customers feel connected with the product due to the “beautiful, visual harmony linking spirit, purpose, and identity within each piece.”
“I am thrilled beyond words to have the opportunity to share my art from coast to coast and combine my unique perspective with the Canada 150 brand,” said Benson.
Her website is at www.Canada150WearableArt.com .

Congratulations Kristina, with so many wearing black these days it is wonderful to see your colourful creations…
