Someone was seen smashing a window and entering the store. The RCMP surrounded the building and called the Police Dog Service to assist in searching for the suspect.

The police dog team found a 28-year-old woman hiding inside the building in the dark, wedged tightly under a shelving unit and clutching the property she had intended to steal.

The woman, who is a resident of Kamloops well-known to the RCMP, was arrested without incident or injury. The investigation is ongoing, and police expect to recommend charges for break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime.
