POLICE – Driver passes three cars, almost collides with oncoming vehicle

The Tk’emlúps rural RCMP detachment is hoping the public can help identify a vehicle that was captured on video narrowly missing an oncoming vehicle.

On July 18, 2026, vehicle dash camera footage shows a black Mazda vehicle passing three cars consecutively and almost colliding with a vehicle in the oncoming direction.  The footage was captured near the 1900-block Pinatan Pritchard Road and the Paul Lake transfer station.

“The video shows a black vehicle, passing three vehicles in a row and narrowly missing oncoming traffic,” said Cpl. Dana Napier, spokesperson for the Kamloops RCMP Detachment.

“Investigators are hoping that others on the roadway that may have been passed or observed this vehicle may be able to provide the licence plate.”
