POLICE – Crime Reduction Unit seizes firearm components, motorcycle

The Kamloops RCMP Crime Reduction Unit seized firearm components and recovered a stolen motorcycle as part of a search warrant executed in Aberdeen.

On July 23, 2026, the CRU executed a search warrant in the 2100-block of Sifton Avenue as part of an ongoing investigation related to alleged possession and production of prohibited firearm components.

Investigators seized a variety of items including, ammunition, 3D printed licence plates, firearm barrels, suppressors, firearm slides, body armour, along with police patches.  Additionally, CRU recovered a motorcycle that had been reported stolen.

“This investigation demonstrates the Crime Reduction Unit’s commitment to disrupting the manufacturing and possession of firearm components in our community,” said Supt. Jeff Pelley.

“The seizure of these items, along with the recovery of a stolen motorcycle, is working toward reducing the potential risk to public safety and supports ongoing enforcement efforts targeting those allegedly involved in serious criminal activity.”

One person in the residence was briefly detained and released. The investigation continues in relation to the owner of the home.
