An expanded evacuation alert has been issued by the Thompson-Nicola Regional District due to the Kullagh Creek Wildfire near Stump Lake. The original evacuation alert has been replaced effective June 17, 2026 at 12 p.m.

The evacuation alert is now in place for about 31 addressed properties in Electoral Area “J” (Copper Desert Country), Electoral Area “L” (Grasslands), and Electoral Area “M” (Beautiful Nicola Valley – North).

Impacted areas are as follows:

  • North–East end of Stump Lake and on Kullagh Lake Rd;
  • 8805 Kullagh Lake Road, Downgraded from Order; and
  • Any other properties as outlined on the attached map.
