Alberta is the first province in Canada to sign into law involuntary treatment for crackheads.

This common sense step is great for Alberta. But just you wait and see what happens to BC, especially addict hub cities with entrenched homeless industrial complex services.

As soon as the crackheads learn about the change, they’re going to flee to jurisdictions like Kamloops that roll out the red carpet.

If you think it’s bad now, wait and see what happens next.

  2. My family and I have had enough of this shit. Kamloops has markedly declined in the last 5 years. Council is useless and has in fact promoted at nearly every opportunity the conditions driving the street disorder.

Council is complacent. From the sounds of it, when you call the police, 9 times out of 10 you’re told “we can’t do anything”. A wet shelter on every corner. Lease extensions into perpetuity.

Today in Kamloops, you had the choice of being shot driving home, or having rocks thrown at your car on Columbia by some doped out addict mad at the world.

    We are leaving.

We made the decision tonight over dinner. A family of 4, both with decent incomes and contributors to the community. I will not raise my children in this community.

Best of luck to those who stay.

    Thank you.
