COMMUNITY – Nine honoured at annual Exemplary Service Awards

Nine Kamloops citizens who give back to their community were honoured Wednesday night (April 19, 2023) at the annual Exemplary Service Awards ceremony.

Mayor Reid Hamer-Jackson emceed the event and presented the nine with their special trophy awards. They also received flowers and gifts in what has become one of the nicest evenings of the year.

The recipients were of various ages and backgrounds and contributed to the community in different ways, from sports events to community groups to fundraisers and clubs.

They included Brian Ross, Cassie McNutt, Cindy Logan, Deanna Hurtsfield, Dominique Baird, George Campbell, Lyn Arikado, Robert Gill and Roger Parkes.

About a hundred guests, dignitaries and family members attended.
