POLICE – Body believed to be missing woman was found near her home

The body believe to be that of missing Kamloops woman Jo-Anne Donovan was found near her home on Wednesday, Kamloops RCMP confirmed today (March 24, 2023) in an update.

However, they still aren’t revealing the specific location.

Police said an extensive forensic search of her residence has been conducted and they will remain at that location until an autopsy is completed on Tuesday.

Donovan, 57, was last seen March 13. Police are still looking for any witnesses who may have seen her or her car around that time. She was known to mostly frequent the North Shore and Brocklehurst.

RCMP said she also liked to go for walks around the areas near McArthur Island, the Kamloops Airport and Tranquille farm.

“Any information regarding observations of Jo-Anne or her vehicle will assist police in developing the timeline for the investigation.”

Police are requesting anyone who saw her or her vehicle to contact them at 250-828-3000.

They’re also seeking to talk to anyone who recently spoke with Donovan or visited her residence.
