LETTER – James Peters’ editorial on Mayor Hamer-Jackson is confusing
Re: PETERS: Opportunity cost is mounting for Kamloops council
I hope you would please take the time to read my cut and pasted highlights of your editorial and answer my specific questions.
“Right now, Kamloops council and administration are being forced into doing a lot of clean-up work due to the chaos Hurricane Hamer-Jackson leaves in his path.”
1 What specific clean-up work, besides your example provided, are council and administration forced to do?
Please list and be specific.
“While council is spending so much time and energy on this, it’s falling behind on what it actually wants to do.”
2 What specific items, topics, issues, does council want to do and how are they falling behind? How much are they falling behind? What is the end date for completion.
Please list in order of importance.
“How will other levels of government work with Kamloops if every month, they are liaising with a different deputy mayor because the full-time mayor is unreliable, unpredictable or unavailable?”
3 Please provide specific events, and or examples where the full-time major is unreliable, unpredictable or unavailable?
I did not vote for the current mayor, however, he is still the mayor regardless how you like to portray him.
I would an appreciate a response to my question as your editorial is confusing to me.
Thank you.
