COLLINS – Sometimes, I am wrong

I AM VIRTUALLY NEVER WRONG. My wife of 51-plus years, and certainly my sister and kids, have a long list countering that, and to them, I say “fake news”.

I was never wrong in my long career at work, and any documents indicating otherwise, were shredded when I left office.

Seriously, I have no problem admitting the truth. I was wrong about the changes in traffic flow from downtown over the Overlanders Bridge to the North Shore.

When the City proposed the idea of closing off the right hand traffic lane on West Victoria Street to allow continuous traffic flow onto the bridge from the Summit Connector, I thought it would create problems for traffic to go from two lanes to one on West Victoria. But, it has worked so well the City is going to make it permanent.
