CIVIC ELECTION 2022 – Nominations close, slates are set for Oct. 15 vote
Five candidates will seek to be the next mayor of Kamloops, while 23 will go after eight City council seats in the Oct. 15 (2022) civic election. Eleven others will campaign for five City school trustee positions on School District 73.
In the Thompson-Nicola Regional District, four of the 10 electoral areas will be filled by acclamation as only one candidate filed nomination papers in each. The other six will require elections.
Nominations closed on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022 and the campaign is officially underway. Below is the list of candidates, with links to their nomination papers.
