LETTER – There are too many crashes involving transport trucks

Scene of crash on Highway 5 this week. (Image: Contributed, CFJC)

Hello, Mr.Rothenburger, It is absolutely terrifying what has happened on local highways the past few days with crashes involving semi trucks/trailers. They say there are investigations; however, the outcome is never known. Are there charges being laid?

Does there need to be a review of how it keeps happening? Road conditions were fine! As well, the footage of the trucks playing chicken while passing on a double solid line posted on Global needs to produce charges having been laid.

What are these drivers doing out there?! Thank you sir.

In my travels, I notice many times semi passing each other going uphill blocking lanes. I once was nearly forced into the cement middle guarding going up Hwy 5 toward Aberdeen Mall. Unfortunately so many of these drivers are on strict time schedules set out by their company owners
