EDITORIAL – Pity Harry and Meghan; all they want is their cake and to eat it too

THE QUEEN IS NOT AMUSED. She is “saddened” by the challenges faced by Meghan and Harry as outlined in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that aired in the U.K. a day after it was seen here.
She has a right to be sad — the prince and his wife have thoroughly trashed the Royal family as uncaring racists.
I must be the only one on the planet who couldn’t be bothered to listen to two hours of softball questions from Winfrey, and the self-serving answers, but I’m catching up.
Meghan told Winfrey she had, at one point, felt suicidal, and that somebody in the Royals had wondered aloud what colour baby Archie’s skin would be. She further stated that the Royals refused to help her out when she mentioned her depression.

The pampered life of a royal can be a veritable hell. In fact the whole anachronistic establishment of royal families is utterly bizarre. Give Harry and Meghan credit for getting out. The litmus test for sanity is not being able to survive in Buckingham palace.
If your families job was to be in the limelight and and you have a bunch of people who wish you harm and your company decided not to protect you and your family, I suspect you would do the same. You have it wrong
D, I think as long as Harry and his wife were working members of the Royal Family they were getting protection. Even in Canada the RCMP were guarding them. It was only after they learned that since they opted out of Royal duties this would stop, is when they moved to the USA. I have no idea what Meghan meant when she said her son would not be protected because he did not have a Royal title. Its confusing. Perhaps that was when he was of age and on his own, as is the case with other members of this family.
Not only the self-serving but every darn news feed has been caring the “load” for a few days now. Stop the insanity!
It is a Royal Treat to have the royal police dedicated to finding (anything) to make a smokescreen for the racism that is exposed in the inner workings of the vestigial monarchy of Great Britain. And the best that Mr. Rothenburger does to support the racism smokescreen is revive the age-old inner hatred and jealousy of people who are richer than us. Sick.
