SNOWBIRDS CRASH – Pilot makes brief appearance outside Royal Inland
Capt. Richard MacDougall was entertained Thursday night (May 21, 2020) at Royal Inland Hospital, making his first appearance in public since last Sunday’s crash of a Snowbirds jet.
Capt. Jenn Casey died in the crash when the Tutor jet in which she and MacDougall were flying crashed in Brocklehurst.
MacDougall, riding in a wheelchair, came out to the hospital admitting entrance with family members to listen to a drum circle by the Secwepemc Child and Family Services drumming group. He posed for photos with family and with members of the drum circle.
There has been no recent update on details of his injuries but he’s expected to make a full recovery.
