The annual seniors’ picnic is scheduled for Friday, July 6, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Riverside Park, and the City will be serving up food, friends, and fun at the park.
The event is an opportunity for seniors to visit with friends and participate in activities like chair Zumba and Better Bones. The Kamloops Rube Band, along with the Old Time Fiddlers, will be entertaining the crowd, while the Kamloops Girl Guides will be serving up hot dogs, chips, and juice.
While tables and chairs will be set up in the shade, participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle, hat, and sunscreen.
The event is free to attend; however, participants must register in advance by calling 250-828-3500 with program no. 283536 or visiting www.kamloops.ca/ezreg.
Free parking will be available in the West Parking Lot at Riverside Park. Seniors are encouraged to take public transit, carpool, or find alternative forms of transportation as there is limited parking.
This free, 55+ event is sponsored by Chartwell Retirement Residences, Kamloops Seniors Village, and the City of Kamloops.
