EDITORIAL – Top 10 reasons why Todd Stone could succeed Christy Clark
An ArmchairMayor.ca editorial by Mel Rothenburger.
THERE ARE a lot of reasons Todd Stone has a shot at becoming the next leader of the BC Liberals and, therefore, a future premier.
As of Friday, Christy Clark departs, and the pundits are tossing around names of possible successors, like Dianne Watts, Carole Taylor, Kevin Falcon, Jas Johal and Sam Sullivan.
Most of them are either too new or too old. Stone, on the other hand, is just right, and here’s the Top 10 List why:
Number 10: Name recognition – Stone’s high-profile job as Transportation Minister made him known throughout B.C.

Please no!! I am really hoping the Liberals get back in but Stone isn’t going to do it.

NOT !!!!! The only thing of note that Stone accomplished last term was to turn our highways into free for alls. Since he raised speed limits the accident rate has risen immensely. The only other thing he got done was to prove that he was a good little puppy dog for Clark. He always fetched the bones that she tossed. Stone is beige, I really doubt he has much imagination or leadership abilities at all.

…Mel you forgot a reason….his first and last name are only single syllables…excellent size for lawn signs and billboards. Or to be used in cliches like “I’m getting Stoned” or he is just a stone’s throw away from the top job.
Unfortunately I didn’t see the 2 main reason that I look for in a ” Politician” is caring and trust.
It is true that marketing a politician is like selling milk, however, after their elected, their picture is on the milk carton with the caption “have you seen this person.”
Respectfully submitted
