Stuart Wood closure is on list of possibilities.

Stuart Wood’s future is still unknown; so is KDN building’s.

THEY SAY if you aren’t moving forward, the world is passing you by, and it’s never been more obvious than in the Kamloops downtown this year.

peters-colhedNearly two years ago, the city put forward a plan that would have seen tens of millions of dollars in grants and private donations coupled with public funding to build a performing arts centre and parking garage on the site of the Kamloops Daily News building.

It has been more than a year since the voters of Kamloops rejected that plan.

  1. Film Institution for one and a high tech computer transfer station for global data exchange for the other.
    In both cases the City coffers would increase income and maybe even one could off-set the other for seasonal growth, say, in the film industry.
    (-Some pretty picture sunsets and sunrises around the Kamloops area -not to forget to mention those rolling hills in green grass in June; secluded lakes for idyllic film set locations…and in the hight tech field -having a large globalized data exchange setting -through Kamloops- would increase TRU’s interests in the high tech sector; ongoing.)
