Corner store robbed by man with syringe

RCMP cruiserNEWS/ POLICE — A man threatened a clerk with a syringe and made off with some cash in a robbery at the Cornerstone Market on 12th Street today, Tuesday.

The clerk was not harmed, and one man is in custody.

Kamloops RCMP were called to the convenience store just after 9 a.m.

A suspect was taken into custody by police shortly after the incident, but there may have been a second male involved, police said. They later located a newer model, blue Toyota Tacoma in connection with their investigation.

RCMP are asking anyone with information to contact Kamloops RCMP or call Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous.
