Witness sought in suspicious fire that damaged pickup truck

RCMPNEWS/ POLICE — A fire that damaged a pickup truck early Friday morning appears to have been deliberately set, say Kamloops RCMP.

The Kamloops Fire Department alerted police to the fire at 1284 Nicola St. at 6:06 a.m. The fire damaged parts of the rear tire, box, canopy, and fender of a 1992 Dodge W350 pickup truck.

The fire department continues to investigate the cause.

RCMP are seeking witnesses who may have information and request they call the Kamloops detachment at (250) 828-3000 or Crimestoppers at (800) 222-TIPS (8477).
