Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital staff ‘terribly shaken’ by murder of colleague, says IHA
CLEARWATER — Colleagues at Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital are deeply shaken by the death of a woman who was found murdered in her home on Easter Sunday, says the Interior Health Authority.
Angila Wilson, 33, was found by RCMP Monday morning. A man believed to be her common-law husband, from whom she had separated, was taken into custody after a standoff that lasted several hours at another house in Clearwater.
Three children ages six, four and two were removed safely from that house. Charges are expected soon in the case.
Wilson was a licenced practical nurse at the hospital. IHA today issued this statement:
“As one can imagine, staff at Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital are terribly shaken by the tragic loss of their friend and colleague. Ms. Wilson worked closely with the team in Clearwater for the past five years and was a well-respected and valued nurse.”
