POLICE – Pair arrested after stolen vehicle shows up in school parking lot

Police, fire and ambulance were busy this morning (October. 8, 2026) near the 900-block of Holt Street.

Kamloops RCMP were notified by the B.C. Ambulance Service at about 7:45 a.m. of a man who appeared to be unconscious in a vehicle parked in a school parking lot.

“The vehicle had previously been reported as stolen,” said Cpl. Dana Napier.  “Multiple police officers attended the area and quickly located and arrested the man and a woman allegedly associated to the vehicle.”

As a precaution and given the time and closeness to the school, police coordinated with School District 73 administration to alert them of the incident and to make plans for the removal of the vehicle from the school parking lot.

Charges will be assessed pending the outcome of the investigation.
