I have known Reid Hammer-Jackson for more than four decades, since we first met in Kamloops in 1980. From the very beginning, Reid has always been the same person: friendly, approachable, respected, and deeply committed to his community. Over the years, my wife and I became close with Reid, his wife Lori, and their family—relationships that have grown into lifelong friendships.
Reid has always been a builder of community. Whether through his involvement in sports, his support for local organizations, or his countless efforts to help people, he has consistently given his time and energy to make Kamloops a better place for everyone. He is honest, loyal, and dedicated — qualities that have defined him throughout his life.
As mayor, Reid is not motivated by personal gain but by a vision for the whole city of Kamloops. He wants to see Kamloops thrive again as a safe, welcoming, and vibrant community — not only in the downtown core, but across every neighborhood. He understands the challenges the city is facing and is determined to address them with integrity and action.
I have complete trust in Reid Hammer-Jackson. I know him to be a man of principle, a devoted husband and father, and a leader who cares deeply for Kamloops. He has my full support as mayor, and I believe the city is stronger with him at the helm.
Reid’s integrity shines not only in his role as mayor, but in the way he has always lived as a citizen of Kamloops. He is the kind of leader — and the kind of person — that this city needs. I strongly encourage the people of Kamloops to stand with him and support his vision for a better future.
JIM JESSON
Thanks, Jim. How you portrayed Reid is how I see him.

Easily the funniest piece of satire I’ve ever read, very well done. Releasing it the same day as the reporting that he called the cops on himself was an excellent touch.

It’s really revolting to see what this gang of high school mentality councillors have done to frustrate the Mayor and prevent him from fulfilling his mandate. Go back and read the campaign promises from them. Literally none kept their word. Jackson is the only one who is trying to fulfill his promises to voters.
