POLICE – Video sought in Friday morning shots-fired incident

Kamloops RCMP are investigating a drive-by shooting that happened just before 6 a.m. today (May 3, 2024) on the North Shore and is asking anyone with video surveillance to call police.
RCMP were called to the 1200-block of 10th Street for a report of shots fired at a residence, with a silver older model Jetta seen leaving the scene.
Officers with assistance from Southeast District Police Dog Service flooded the area in an effort to locate the suspects and vehicle.
“The suspect vehicle has since been located a short distance from the shooting scene on 13th Street. However, the suspects remain outstanding,” states S/Sgt. Janelle Shoihet.
“Thankfully, no one was injured but we certainly understand that incidents such as these are concerning to residents and neighbours. While the investigation is in its infancy, this event has all the earmarks of a targeted shooting between parties in conflict.”
Investigators are asking anyone who resides in and around the area of 13th Street and 10th Street, to review their video surveillance between 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on Friday May 3, 2024 for the silver Jetta.
“If you have any information or video, you are asked to call the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and cite file 2024-12950.”
