POLICE – Teenager beaten up in McArthur Park, robbed of his shoes

A man was beaten and robbed of his shoes in McArthur Park last night (March 27, 2023) and police are looking for the four people who did it.

Around 9:20 p.m., Kamloops RCMP were called to the park where a man in his late teens reported walking across the soccer field near the golf course, when he was allegedly confronted and beaten with weapons.

The masked culprits took his red and black shoes, then ran toward Holt Street beach. The victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

“According to the investigation so far, there may have been other people gathered in the park who may have witnessed the event,” said Cpl. Crystal Evelyn.

“Those people are encouraged to please contact police as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information related to the investigation is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2023-10303.
