Traffic on the Overlanders Bridge resumed its normal pace late this afternoon following a three-vehicle collision that caused its closure.

Around 1 p.m. today (March 3, 2023), Kamloops RCMP responded to the area of the bridge near Victoria Street West, where a southbound Honda collided head-on with a northbound Tesla, causing a secondary crash with a Mazda.

Two people were taken to hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries.

“The Overlanders Bridge was closed briefly before its southbound lanes were reopened,” said Cpl. Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson.

“All lanes are now back to normal and traffic is flowing at its regular pace.”

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Anyone who witnessed or captured video related is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2023-7258.
