Kamloops police are reaching out to the public in hopes of locating a retired British military veteran’s uniform, stolen during a recent break and enter.
The uniform pieces, which include a military beret, camouflage jacket and pants, large green backpack and jumper vest, black army boots, and a belt were stolen sometime over the few last weeks from a shipping container on Vicars Road. The theft was noticed on Feb. 13, 2023.
“The items stolen were of a great sentimental value to the owner,” said Cpl. Crystal Evelyn.
“If you took them, or know someone who recently came into possession of some military clothing, please contact police so that we can help facilitate their return.”
The owner provided stock images of the items to share with the public in case they come across any of the pieces.
Those with information related to this investigation are asked to please contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2023-5166.
