If you’re walking around the downtown on Feb. 17, be on alert, you might be struck with a random act of kindness.

In support of Random Acts of Kindness Day, Friday Feb. 17, 2023, the Kamloops RCMP Crime Prevention Unit and its volunteers will be foot patrolling the downtown core in search of unsuspecting citizens who incorporate good citizenship into their everyday routines.

“In recognition of that kindness and to help spread some positivity, our team will be handing out small gifts to say thank you and to deliver some random kindness of our own,” said Corporal Dana Napier, Kamloops RCMP Crime Prevention.

Random Acts of Kindness Day is intended to recognize and support the little things people do that make a difference in the lives of others. Whether you’re at home, school, or work, the Kamloops RCMP Detachment is encouraging residents to take a moment to brighten someone’s day.
