POLICE – Whisper the long-haired French Bulldog found safe and sound
A dog reported as stolen from its Cherry Creek home in January has been located and safely returned to its owner.
Whisper, a rare chocolate and tan, long hair French Bulldog, was discovered missing around 7 a.m., Jan. 12, 2023. She is believed to have been stolen sometime overnight.
“On Jan. 31, the Tk’emlúps Rural RCMP Detachment was contacted by someone who stated they recently located a dog they believed to be Whisper,” Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said today (Feb. 1, 2023).
“Police made arrangements with the person to take the dog to a veterinarian clinic and confirm it was Whisper by checking her microchip. Since then, she has been returned to her rightful owner.”
She said the police investigation into her disappearance is ongoing and as such, no further details regarding the circumstances of her recovery will be released at this time.
“We are happy to confirm Whisper’s safe return to her family and we continue to encourage the public to contact us with any information that could help further this ongoing investigation,” added Evelyn.
