LETTER – Canadian soccer coach was just trying to inspire his players

Re: Editorial – Canada’s World Cup team made us proud, unlike the coach

Mel I do enjoy your segment on CFJC news, but I feel you were off base with your comments about Canada’s Soccer coach. In any sport at the highest level it’s the coach’s job to inspire and fire up their players .

Coach Herdman is no exception, and I bet his players had no problem with what he said.

No sports fan that I have talked to had any problem with what he said, it’s what coaches say, they usually just don’t tell the media, for the very reasons to avoid comments like yours.

  1. I don’t think so!

  2. Industrial language built the nation, any nation. And it won championships, many of them.
