POLICE – Gunshots reported in Dallas but no obvious injuries

A report involving multiple gunshots heard led to a large police presence in Dallas last night (July 19, 2022).

Around 10:30 p.m., RCMP attended the 200-block of Andover Crescent, where they found evidence of gunshots fired, but no one who appeared to be injured.

A number of vehicles and people yelling were noted as moving around in a nearby parking lot at the time of the incident and are believed to be associated, police said.

“Police are reaching out to anyone who saw anything before or around the time of the reported shots, as well as anyone who has video footage available to please contact police,” said Cpl. Crystal Evelyn.

“At the time of the incident, a number of vehicles were reported in the area. We are hopeful someone saw something involving those vehicles that may help us further the investigation into what transpired and those who are responsible.”

The Kamloops Police Dog Service, Serious Crime, and Forensic Identification Services units are assisting with the investigation.
