PETERS – It’s time for Vladimir Putin to be stopped
RUSSIA’S INVASION of Ukraine has become too easy for us to ignore.
We in North America may have relegated the invasion to the far reaches of our collective consciousness, but millions don’t have that luxury.
Since it began more than two months ago, the toll of the unprovoked invasion has grown worse and worse.
Thursday, Unicef reported almost 100 children were killed during the month of April alone, a statistic that should shock and anger the entire world.
The United Nations has called for an end to bombing of Ukrainian schools — something that shouldn’t need to be done if the invading force had any moral high ground at all.
But Vladimir Putin has no underpinning to his actions, be it moral or strategic. He is driven only by his own ego and lust for power.

The Israelis/Palestinian conflict is a dispute over common ground inhabited by disparate faiths. The Crimean crisis is about brutal geopolitical ideology versus human decency.
AGREED! WE SHOULD HAVE ENTERED THIS WAR 6 WEEKS AGO AT LEAST! When Hitler buffaloed Europe so many years ago long enough to overrun the continent we used Chamberlain’s flag-waving treaty paper to cover our non-involvement. And how did that go? Don’t we ever learn from history? We’ve now got another megalomaniac cowering the rest of the world while he shreds an innocent nation while we stand and watch. Shame on us!!!

Yes for sure Putin has to be stopped. But then so are the Israeli need to stop killing and humiliating the Palestinians. The Americans and their NATO allies needed to be stopped killing Iraqis and Afgani and a host of others throughout the world. Every child matters, James Peters. And perhaps every parent of every child matters also?
