PETERS – It’s time to strike up the band again in Kamloops
THE MOST STRINGENT COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted and we’re beginning to do things in large groups again.
It’s not to everyone’s comfort, but we’re starting to see sports allow crowds, movie theaters are doing good business and shopping malls are packed to the gills.
At the same time, musical performers are beginning to book tours again, much to the relief and delight of us music fans.
For the most part, Kamloops has heard crickets.
It’s unfortunate, and it brings us back to something that we last discussed almost exactly one year ago – a performing arts centre for Kamloops.
Don’t groan. Stop it.

No. Just NO. Drop it already. We can’t even control the Covid pandemic opening stuff like restaurants and bars too early.
It looks like we are entering a fourth wave here in BC and Interior Health has half the new infections.
Until proof of vaccination is a reality, we can’t even consider something like the PAC.
