Kamloops RCMP and the BC Coroners Service are investigating the circumstances surrounding a collision on the Halston Bridge this morning (April 27, 2021).

Around 9:15 a.m., police were called to the bridge for a crash involving a three-wheel motorcycle and a truck in the eastbound lanes. The driver of the motorbike, a man in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash tied up morning traffic in all directions.

According to the initial investigation, the motorcyclist lost control and struck the centre divider, causing his dismount. The motorcycle continued moving and hit a flat-deck trailer before coming to a stop.

The BC Coroners Service has been notified and is investigating.

If you witnessed this crash and have not yet spoken to police, contact Kamloops RCMP RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2021-13394.
