This year’s peace walk will be held online using Zoom Webinar.
“People can register to attend on the Kamloops Walk for Peace, Social Justice, & Environment Facebook group,” Anita Strong, chair of the Kamloops branch of the Council of Canadians, said Sunday (May 3, 2020).
“We will have speakers and music as usual and there will be an opportunity for attendees to interact.”
Strong said, “the entertainment lineup for this year’s peace walk is exceptional and includes musicians Ron Ste Marie, Margit Sky Project, and Jordy Major.”
Emcee Ken Gray, Dean of St. Paul’s Anglican Cathedral, said, “Speakers on peace, the environment, and social justice include A Way Home Kamloops’ Katherine McParland, Transition Kamloops’ Gisela Ruckert, and Kamloops poet Linda Wall. The event will be both educational and entertaining.”
