FIRE – Woman in critical condition after mobile home fire in Westsyde

A woman is in critical condition after a mobile home caught fire earlier this morning (July 15, 2019).

This morning at 3:40 a.m., Kamloops RCMP were notified by Kamloops Fire Rescue (KFR) of a structure fire in the 800 block of Grant Road. When officers attended the scene, they found the house was fully engulfed in flame and that KFR had removed a woman from the home.  The woman was transported to Royal Inland Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police officers on scene also took two male youths who were in the area into custody. Their involvement in the fire, if any, is unknown at this time, police said..

At this time the fire is considered suspicious and fire investigators will begin their investigation when it is safe to do so.
