POLICE – Operator killed when tractor overturns at Cherry Creek

One man is dead after a tractor tipped over on a Cherry Creek farm today (May 2, 2018).

The operator was apparently pinned under the machine when it overturned. A backhoe was used to lift the tractor off the victim,

RCMP received a report about 2:30 p.m. that there had been an accident on Beaton Road.  When officers arrived they confirmed that one person was dead at the scene.

Police released no details about how the accident happened or about the person who was killed.  The B.C. Coroners Service has been engaged and the investigation is ongoing.
