POLICE – Dash-camera help sought in hit-and-run on Valleyview frontage road

Anyone with a dash camera who might have recorded a hit-and-run on the East Trans-Canada Highway frontage road in Valleyview late Thursday night is being asked to help police find a suspect.

The incident happened about 9:45 p.m. March 29, 2018 after a commercial truck driver parked on the frontage road and was walking across it when he was hit.

RCMP say the driver who struck him didn’t stop, instead fleeing the scene.

The injured man was taken to hospital in critical condition where he was treated for multiple serious injuries.

Kamloops RCMP are requesting anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and who has a recording dash cameras in his or her vehicle to review the footage for possible related video/ images.

Anyone with information that may be of value is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at (250) 828-3000 or Kamloops Crime Stoppers (Anonymous) 1-800-222-8477.
