POLICE – Search warrant sought after home invasion in Dallas overnight

Police are requesting a search warrant in connection with a home invasion in Dallas.

Just after midnight today (Jan. 16, 2018), Kamloops RCMP were called to a house on Badger Drive.   It was reported that a group of people were yelling and kicking in the door.  Police said they found two residents inside who had been the victims of a home invasion.  The assailants had left the area in a vehicle.  Patrols were made of the area but the suspects were not found.

“While investigating the break and enter and assault of the residents, police found evidence of other criminal activity within the home,” said Cpl. Jodie Shelkie in a media release.

She said the house has been secured and Kamloops RCMP are requesting a search warrant.

“At this time the victims are uncooperative with police.  It is unknown if the home invasion was targeted or if the victims of the home invasion were known to the suspects.  The victims had minor injuries and refused ambulance attendance.”
