McQUARRIE – T’was the night before Christmas and all through City Hall
WITH MY APOLOGIES to Clement Clarke Moore, I give you my Kamloops version of his poem, The Night Before Christmas. And what better way to take you to Christmas Eve in Kamloops then to begin with that famous opening line…
T’was the night before Christmas
And all through City Hall
Everyone was thinking
About the election next fall.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with hope
That more people this time
Would actually vote.
The voters themselves were nestled snug in their beds
While visions of fare taxes
Danced in their heads.

Ray does speak; I’ve heard him!
Maybe he is now wondering, “What have I got myself into?”
Yes, Merry Christmas, Bill.
