POLICE – Who left the smoke grenade on Grandview Terrace?
Kamloops RCMP would like to know who left a smoke grenade on Grandview Terrace near Columbia Street West on Sunday (Aug. 13, 2017).
When police arrived after being told of the object they found that the pin had been pulled but it had misfired. Officers treated the grenade as a live ordnance and cordoned off the area. The RCMP Explosive Disposal Unit took the grenade and disposed of it safely. It was found that it had been correctly identified as a smoke grenade.
Cpl. Jodie Shelkie said it’s unknown what the origin of this grenade is. The investigation into the make and model is continuing.
RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying who left the grenade on Grandview Terrace. If you have any information on who may have had the grenade, contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

I have no idea, but I wonder if a kid found it in grandpas basement, pulled the pin and took off when it didnt work.
