EVENTS – Annual ‘Kamloops Walk for Peace’ scheduled Saturday, May 6

The Kamloops Walk for Peace, the Environment and Social Justice takes place Saturday, May 6.

The event begins with a program of music and speakers at about 10:30 a.m. in the Stuart Wood school ground adjacent to the Saturday Farmers’ Market.

The walk sets off at 12:30 and returns for a performance by Roxanne Hall. A children’s table will offer fun activities, including sign making and face painting. There will also be barbequed snacks on sale.

As well as Hall, the list of entertainers includes Double Dawg Dare, the folk duo of Gary Neilsen and Chris Doherty, Mendel Rubinson and singer/songwriter Jared Doherty.
