The Stop Ajax movement has gained more momentum as TRU Faculty Association members have voted “overwhelmingly” to support the Stk’emlups te Secwepemc Nation (SSN) in its opposition to the mine.

Faculty members voted “almost unanimously” at its annual general meeting Monday to back the SSN, a faculty member said.

The SSN and several dozen organizations have formed a community coalition to oppose plans for the mine, based on its location beside Jacko Lake, also known as Pipsell.
