Kamloops media including ArmchairMayor.ca have teamed up for an election forum Tuesday night (April 25, 2017) that will feature all candidates in both the Kamloops-South Thompson and Kamloops-North Thompson ridings.
The forum will start at 7 p.m. in the TRU Grand Hall, with Bill O’Donovan of CFJC and Doug Herbert of CBC moderating. After opening statements from candidates, and some questions from the media, the floor will be open to the public.
Questions will alternate between the two ridings, with each candidate issued three challenge cards to use in answering the questions they wish. A question asked to a specific candidate may be “challenged” by another candidate for a maximum of 30 seconds.
Closing statements will be 60 seconds or less.
Hi Mel, I had to leave after 45 minutes. I couldn’t stand the BS from the Liberal candidates. All they did was spew Christy Clark speaking points. Mr Stone said that he does not think that citizens should fund an election but that it should fall on corporations to do that! I don’t know why that shocked me, but I feel that is a kick in the face of democracy, yet he and the Liberal party seem to think it is just fine.
