POLICE – Bodies of ice fishermen, 61 and 66, both recovered at Red Lake
Both bodies of the fishermen reported missing at Red Lake northwest of Kamloops have now been recovered.
The body of one was reported yesterday to have been found, and now the second. The men were 61 and 66, and were reported overdue Tuesday night after going ice fishing.
Conditions of the lake were considered unsuitable for fishing, hampering initial search efforts. Search drones equipped with infrared technology located holes in the snow-covered ice.
Families of the two men have been notified. Kamloops RCMP and the B.C. Coroners Service continue to investigate.
