POLICE – Death of 26-year-old Vernon man confirmed as a homicide

VERNON – The death of a man found dead last Thursday near Silver Star Road is being investigated as a homicide, the RCMP’s Southeast District Major Crimes Unit (SED MCU) confirmed Wednesday (March 29, 2017).

On Thursday, March 23 at 7:24 a.m. the Vernon/North Okanagan RCMP Detachment was called to a report of a body being found near the intersection of Wilson Jackson Road and Jordashe Road.

RCMP investigators now confirm that the death of 26-year-old Dustin Josef Rogers, a Vernon resident, was a homicide.

Police are continuing their investigation and are piecing together a timeline of Roger`s activities on the days prior to his body being discovered.
