ROTHENBURGER – Shouldn’t our MLAs live in ridings they represent?

ALL THE CANDIDATES in the Kamloops-North Thompson riding so far have one thing in common — none of them lives there.

melcolhed-sep2016Dan Hines, Peter Kerek, Peter Milobar and Barb Nederpel live on the other side of the river, in Kamloops-South Thompson.

That’s OK… the rules don’t require MLAs to live in ridings they represent.

But maybe it’s time for a rule change.

  2. Smart and having good sense should be a requirement…as for living address I don’t see it be a huge problem when the former is in place. But that is just utopical talk because “smart and having good sense” are impossible qualities to properly define.
